How to Use Your SubscriptionQuick Setup

Follow the sequence: account, plan, subscription, client, then connection verification. Each section covers only the action needed at that stage; protocol and route details are reserved for the technical reference.

BEFORE START

Confirm the right entry point first

This page only requires a browser and the device you plan to use. Your account, plan, subscription URL, and client are managed through the user panel. The marketing pages do not provide static installers or display subscription addresses for direct use. This helps prevent choosing the wrong client or mixing another account’s configuration into the current device.

If you have already created an account and completed a plan purchase, jump straight to “Get your subscription.” If the 04VPN client obtained from the user panel is already installed, continue with “Import it into a client.” First-time users should still follow the page in order because plan status, subscription retrieval, and client import are linked: until one step is complete, the next usually will not show usable routes.

If a button is in a different location, there is no need to repeatedly uninstall the client. First check the client sidebar, settings menu, or home-screen add option, then match it to the action described here. If the interface still does not match, visit Frequently Asked Questions for the relevant symptom; protocol differences, route topology, and peak-hour assessment are covered in Technical Reference for Routes and Protocols.

ACCOUNT

Create an account and save your login details

Open the account creation page, choose a username that is easy for you to recognize, set a password, and submit the form. 04VPN does not require an email address for registration. Your username and password will be used to access the user panel, check plan status, and manage your subscription. Before submitting, check the username carefully, especially for spaces, capitalization, or look-alike characters introduced by the input method.

After the account is created, the page may take you to the user panel or ask you to sign in again. Use the username and password you just saved. Once inside, confirm that you can see the account overview, then continue to choose a plan; there is no need to re-enter the same information across multiple pages. If the browser has another account session saved, verify that the overview shows the account you intend to use so the plan and subscription are not assigned to different accounts.

Store your password separately and never send your username, password, and subscription URL together in a public chat or document. The subscription URL can retrieve the routes available to your current account and should be protected like account credentials. If you forget your login details or cannot access the panel, stop repeated attempts and check the Help Center for account recovery guidance.

PLAN

Choose a plan based on actual usage

After signing in, open the plans section and decide whether you need ongoing access or a fixed total allowance. Monthly subscriptions suit relatively steady usage and reset each month from the activation date. Data packages suit irregular usage: they last until the allowance is used and never expire. Since the billing models differ, read the plan name and data rules carefully instead of comparing only the prices shown on the page.

Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. If you upgrade partway through a term, the price difference is prorated against the remaining days. For browsing, messaging, and light office work, start by estimating your lower usage needs; video, cloud assets, and sustained cross-border transfers typically consume data faster. Data packages include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB, making them suitable when you do not want a monthly usage reset.

After choosing a plan, review the order details, including the plan type, data allowance, and amount. Select an available payment method—Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT—and complete the payment. Then return to the user panel to check the plan status; once an active plan is shown, continue to retrieve your subscription URL. If the order is still processing, do not submit the same order repeatedly. Refresh the order status or check the result in the user panel first.

All plans can be used on any number of devices, but simultaneous transfers across multiple devices share the account’s data allowance. Plans include a 7-day no-questions-asked refund policy; see the terms page for the application process and scope. If you are still unsure between a monthly subscription and a data package, read the full plan details before choosing in the user panel.

SUBSCRIPTION

Get your subscription URL from the user panel

Once your plan is active, open the user panel overview and find the subscription or connection information section. The page will show the subscription entry for your current account; click Copy to place the URL on your system clipboard. Do not copy supposed public configurations from search results, article comments, or pages sent by others. 04VPN subscriptions are available only through the user panel after sign-in.

A subscription URL is an address that clients use to retrieve route configuration; it is not a webpage meant to remain open in a regular browser. After copying it, switch directly to the client and paste it into the import field. If the browser displays the address across multiple lines, copy the complete content rather than only the beginning or end. The illustrative format below is only a format example and cannot connect to any service:

https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN

Never publish the real address in a screenshot or place it in a public code repository. If you have sent the URL somewhere outside your control, reset the subscription in the user panel and update your clients with the new address. After resetting, the old address should no longer be used as a daily configuration source; each device must import or replace the subscription URL again.

Some clients do not display routes immediately after import and require an additional update, refresh, or sync. When the subscription update succeeds, you should see a regional route list rather than webpage text or an error message. If the Copy button does not respond, allow the browser to access the clipboard or use the panel’s manual copy option, then continue.

CLIENT IMPORT

Import the subscription on your device

First, use the user panel’s download page to get the 04VPN client for your device, then return to this step. Once installed, the essential actions are the same: open the add option, choose import by URL or subscription, paste the address you copied, save it, and update. Menu locations vary slightly by platform; the sections below show only the shortest path to complete setup.

WIN

Windows desktop client

Open the 04VPN Windows client and find subscription management in the main window or sidebar. Choose to add a subscription, then paste the address copied from the user panel into the URL field; use any recognizable name. Save it, click Update Subscription, and wait for regional routes to appear in the list. Return to the connection page, choose a route matching the service’s region, then enable the system proxy or connection switch.

If the list is empty after saving, check for spaces at either end of the address and run the update once more. Do not paste the subscription address into a single-node editor; that entry requires individual server parameters and is different from the subscription import described here.

MAC

macOS desktop client

Launch the 04VPN macOS client and open configuration management from the main window or menu bar icon. Choose to add a subscription from a URL, paste the address, confirm, and run an update. Once the route list appears, select the required region and enable the connection. When the system creates a network connection for the first time, it may ask for permission; read the system prompt and allow the network configuration.

If the menu bar icon shows only a toggle and no import option, open the client’s main window or preferences to find subscription management. After a successful import, do not create the same subscription again; use the update function to sync route changes.

AND

Android client

On the 04VPN Android client home screen, tap Add and choose from clipboard, from URL, or Import Subscription. Paste the address, save the configuration, then open the subscription list and run an update. When regional routes appear, return to the home screen, select a route, and start the connection. The first connection may trigger a network permission prompt; confirm it, and the status bar will show the system connection indicator.

If importing from the clipboard does not retrieve the content, paste it manually instead. If the system pauses the client’s background activity, a long idle period may require reconnecting. Check the current status in the client first; there is no need to create another account or purchase another plan.

IOS

iOS client

From the user panel’s download page, open the iOS download option and install a compatible client, then open its subscription or configuration page. Choose Add via URL, paste the subscription address from the user panel, save it, and update the route list. Select a region and enable the connection; the system will ask to add a network configuration. Confirm it, then return to the client and check the connection status.

If only part of the address appears when pasting, return to the user panel, copy the complete subscription again, and replace the existing content. Complete the system connection permission prompt within the system interface; do not enter account credentials on another webpage. Once routes are imported, switch regions directly in the client.

CONNECT AND VERIFY

Connect a route and verify that it works

After the subscription update completes, choose a region based on the service you want to use. For content tied to a specific region, select a route in the target region; for general browsing or office work, start with a nearby route that connects reliably. Start the connection and wait for the client status to change from connecting to connected before opening the app you need.

Do not rely only on the client’s green status indicator. First check the current exit IP location in a browser and confirm that it matches the selected route’s region. Then open the website or app you actually need and verify sign-in, page loading, and playback. Finally, switch to another route and confirm that the app traffic changes with it. This helps rule out cases where the interface says connected but the app is not using the current configuration.

If the exit region does not change, stop and restart the connection, then check whether the client has enabled the system proxy or the appropriate connection mode. If only one app is affected, check whether it uses a separate proxy, a fixed network interface, or an old connection. If no apps can connect, try another route in the same region and compare the result. Change one setting at a time so you can identify what made a difference.

Video and AI tools can also be affected by account region, each service’s policies, and local network conditions. A successful connection only confirms that the network link was established; it does not mean every platform applies the same regional rules. For the complete method covering exit IP, DNS, and per-app checks, read How to Tell Whether Your VPN Is Really Working.

DAILY USE

Everyday use after setup

After setup, you usually only need to open the client, update the subscription, choose a region, and connect. Once the subscription is saved in the client, you do not need to copy the URL again each time; run an update when the route list changes. Multiple devices can use the same account, but get the 04VPN client from the user panel separately and complete the import on each device.

When speeds fluctuate, try another route in the same region, then check whether the local network is also transferring large files. If the connection fails, note the platform, selected region, client message, and situation in which the problem occurred, then visit Connection and troubleshooting help. Change only one condition at a time during basic troubleshooting, and test before making another adjustment.

To understand the design trade-offs between direct connections, relays, dedicated routes, and different protocols, see the Technical Reference for Routes and Protocols. That page is for choosing an approach and deeper analysis; this guide has completed the main path from account creation through connection verification, so you do not need to change complex parameters for everyday use.
